it's the end of the world as we know it...

after a week of a combo Covid/Flu B...yes, two for the price of one...I had to wonder...were the news updates and breaking news alerts all real...or part of a fever-induced nightmare...let's see...in the Bronx we had a young mother thrown from a balcony holding her baby by her charming ex...the reports said she landed in such a way as to indicate she prepared to take the brunt and save her child...she died, the baby upgraded to stable condition...her ex was arrested and disgustingly mugged for the camera...I thought they should have left him alone in the building's basement with the heartbroken neighbors...seeing the anguish of those people reduced me to tears...we had the third anniversary of the October 7th massacre in Israel...and, true to form, memorial services were interrupted throughout the city by people screaming "Free Palestine"...cause nothing advances your cause like trampling on another's grief...note to Mamdani...fire your X account manager...and if he manages it himself...then he should say he fired his X account manager...there was an ICE shooting in Marble Hill last night...in front of a 5-year-old who mercifully escaped physical injury in the back of the car...but who will be permanently emotionally scarred for life...this near a school dismissal in the afternoon...oh, and yes...Pete Hegseth said that the execution of the Ft. Hood shooter will be live-streamed...an entertainment love note to Kim Jong Un...my question...will it be eligible for an Emmy?...the Cornell 7...I've seen too many episodes of SVU...lived through Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill...Kavanaugh...and of course Trump...and I've known too many real stories...this would have a better outcome for the victim if it were not played out on our cell phones...and nothing will really change...the fact that all of these things fail to really move us for more than an AI second is the real danger...so much of it hurts to the core...there is little humanity left among us humans...me...I'm going to roll over and blame it on the Tamiflu...at least for now...
